| Comfort Factor (1) – Silky touch and lightness of AllerGuard® fabric While AllerGuard® fabric functions as a perfect Allergen-Barrier, it does not mean that it is stiff and heavy. On the contrary, its softness and touch are often compared to silk and it weighs only 85 g per m2. It comes as no surprise because AllerGuard® is made in Japan by a leading textile giant called Teijin who started their efforts to immitate natural silk back in 1915. Microfibre yarn used for AllerGuard® is extremely thin, about 6 times thinner than silk and 1000 times thinner than human hair (see comparison). When it's stretched from London to Hong Kong it would weigh only 355 grams. The Allergen-Barrier effect and permeable characteristics are not everything what AllerGuard® offers, it is also one of the most delicate and likeable materials in the world. Good news for those allergic patients who feel obliged to endure cold and stiff fabrics and crinkling sounds every time they turn in bed. Comfort Factor (2) – Down as the extract of nature's tendresse The ideal bedding environment for our sleep is said to be 23 C of temperature and 50 % of moisture. Our body temperature changes and we perspire around 450 ml while we are sleeping. Geese are gifted with Down grown on their chest – a natural mechanism to obtain optimal warmth and regulate excess of moisture. Even though the latest technology outstripped natural silk, even Teijin has not yet managed to produce any match to a Down. That is the reason why AllerGuard®  is now produced in Poland where traditional and ecological geese breeding harvest the best Down known in the world.Once you lay AllerGuard® Down Quilt on your body, first you would be impressed by its lightness, then, in a matter of few seconds, you would feel the air trapped around you by AllerGuard® gets adjusted to your body temperature. Comfort Factor (3) – Colorful bed-covers for allergic patients All white bed-covers sometimes make even the healthiest feel sick.
